PATH Inc. was founded
in 1972 by a group of committed and innovative foster parents
and social workers who saw a need for a more specialized and
personal approach to foster care. Pioneering the treatment
foster care concept, PATH has built a reputation for quality
and leadership in the foster care field.
Treatment foster care is a specialized form of care,
designed as an alternative to institutional care such as
psychiatric wards, group homes, and residential treatment
facilities.
Foster parents and staff at PATH
provide a foundation of nurturing and stability, while
building a structure of trust and empowerment. We believe that
treatment foster care and family based services are a cost
effective resource for children and families in crisis.
PATH provides services
in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Colorado. Its
programs for children and families include:
- Treatment Foster Care
- Medical Foster Care
- Adoption Services
- Respite Foster Care
- Family Preservation and In-home Services
- Education Institute (Foster Parent Education)
